The 2022 2.5hp Tohatsu outboard motor is an excellent choice for square back canoes, small tenders and inflatables, and other small craft. The new 2.5hp 4-stroke outboard includes the newly designed top and bottom cowls based on Tohatsu Design Philosophy for Marine Products, 3-way storage positions without worrying about oil spill, the newly designed front and back carrying handles for easier transportation, and ultra-low emission, EPA and CARB 3-Star rating approved.  The 2.5 hp is lightweight and has a four point vibration absorption system to minimize vibration along with sensational fuel economy. The MFS2.5CS engine is light, compact and powerful boasting the largest displacement in its class (85.5 cc). Tohatsu outboard motors are salt-water rated and built to last — the 2.5hp outboard is no exception to the rule.
